You need a router that supports UPnP to get MSN filetransfers
to work. If your router supports it you only need to
enable that and it will make the needed portmappings
automatic.
..but remember that UPnP is a big security risk ! Not
only MSN can use UPnP to "auto configure"
your router. If you get infected by a trojan/virus it
can also use this feature to get a direct-line to your
computer from internet. |

No, each computer need to use a diffrent portarea..I´ll
show you:
Using VIRTUAL SERVER:
Computer 1: 24500 - 24505
Computer 2: 24506 - 24510
Computer 3: 24511 - 24515
(...and so on...)
Using PORT TRIGGERING:
Computer 1: 24500 - 24505 , Trigger 5190
Computer 2: 24506 - 24510 , Trigger 5191
Computer 3: 24511 - 24515 , Trigger 5192
(...and so on ...)
Make sure you change this in both gateway/router and
ICQ client ! |

No, ICQ PC-PC Phone will never work behind a NAT gateway.
It is using protocol H.323 that is bad if using NAT routers.
If you want to be able to talk easy use this VERY LITTLE
phone software (without installation.. just execute and
use (talk))
Download
PicoPhone
What you need to do in your router when you want to use
PicoPhone is to add this rule:
Protocol: UDP
Port: 11676
IP: Your computer IP |

Both ways can be used and can also be called things
like portforwarding, portredirecting..
Virtual server is a STATIC redirect to an Internal IP
and is always open in your router (even if ICQ isn´t).
Port triggering is an DYNAMIC redirect that only opens
when an application is accessing the net (in ICQ it´s
5190 that connects to the ICQ server when you log in)
. And the router gets the IP from that computer who connects.
This redirect (port) is open in aprox 2 minutes and needs
to be hold open with "Keep Connection Alive"
in ICQ. |

Well, I really hope that all ppl are using a personal
firewall. And in the firewall you can open incomming ports
24500-24505 for the ICQ application. These ports are the
only thing you need ..if you don´t do the fix you´ll
need all ports (1-65535) opened. |

YES !.. well you don´t need to make the "ICQ
bug fix for 2001/2002" but you need to portmap your
router as I also show. |

Then your ISP (the provider of your internet) is giving
you an internal IP and there is nothing you can do about
it. |

Then you forgot to disable (or configure) the built-in
firewall in XP.
Look here
and you will find out how to disable it.
If you still want it active you must make these
rules to make it work. |

Repair the ICQ Database.
Do that by using the ICQ DBconverter. |

Make sure the program (or browser) is active on your
desktop. After that just press buttons ALT + Print Screen.
Now the screenshot has been stored in the memory of
your computer.
To be able to view and save it we must open a program
that handles grafic. You can use the built-in windows
application called "Paint" ( Find it here:
Start > Programs > Accessories ).
If you use Paint you now go to the Menu > Edit >
Paste . That will paste the picture of your screenshot.
When you save you should select a good quality. I don´t
care if the file is ~2MB or more ( I will compress and
modify the picture before I publish it).
..So save in BMP or JPG and mail it to me. Contact
information here
